Our staff spent Sunday, April 5th, 2009 cutting
hair at the Sacramento Childrens Receiving Home. What an amazing opportunity we had to bring smiles & self worth to these
kids. We heard stories of abuse, homeless & separation from mommy's & daddy's that brought tears to our eyes.
I am honored to have a staff with such big hearts! We worked through our own fears of the emotions we would feel & cutting
hair very different than we were used to! We carved a heartbeat in the side of one boys hair, a mohawk on another, combed out
hours of tangles. Girls were delighted just having their hair braided. We were well received with hugs, hands held &
many words of gratitude. We will definitely be going back.
